Looking after your information

Trust matters in my work, and that includes how I handle your details. This page sets out, in plain English, what I keep, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. If anything’s unclear, just email me at steve@openeyesmedia.co.uk.

I’m Steve Tyrrell, and I run Open Eyes Media, also known as High Glam Photography and Steve Tyrrell Photography.

What I keep and why

When you get in touch, I keep your name, contact details, and message so I can reply and help plan your shoot.

If you book a session, I keep what I need to arrange it, invoice you where appropriate, and deliver your photos. I also keep your images, so I can finish the edit and you can come back for more later.

For any adult or creator shoot, the law requires me to confirm everyone is 18 or over. I take a copy of your photo ID and a signed model release, and I keep them securely and separately from everything else.

The website uses a few small cookies to work properly. They don’t identify you. If you use analytics: I also use google analytics to see, anonymously, which pages people visit.

Your photos, your say

Your images only appear in my portfolio, showcase, or on social media if you’ve agreed to it. If you change your mind later, tell me, and I’ll take them down.

Who else sees it

No one, beyond the services I need to run the business, I never sell your information, and your ID is never shared unless the law requires it.

How long I keep it

• Enquiries that don’t turn into bookings: 12 months
• Bookings and invoices: 6 years, for tax purposes
• ID and model releases: for as long as the images are published, and as long as the law requires after that
• Session images: your archive period

Everything is stored on password-protected / encrypted devices and accounts that only I can access.

Some pages link to or show content from sites like PurplePort and Modelfolio. If you visit them, their own privacy policies apply.

Your rights

You can ask to see what I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or withdraw permission for your images to be used. Just email me, and I’ll reply within a month. A few things, like invoices and age checks, I may need to keep for legal reasons.
